Cheviot Road is on the west side of West Norwood, off Knight's Hill as it comes down from Crown Point into Norwood High Street.
West Norwood station is a short 8 minute walk. It links to London Bridge via Peckham and Victoria via Balham and Clapham Junction. In the other direction trains run to Crystal Palace, East and West Croydon and Norwood Junction.
Bus routes 2, 68, 196, 315, 432, 468, 690 run to and from West Norwood Bus station. Bus 315 runs from the end of the road 200m away over to Balham. The bus station is a 5 minute walk to Cheviot Road.
